Some of Ben's favourite restaurants, bars and snack spots across Melbourne - from a standing quick snack to a multi-hour lunch - laid out by area. In the west, Footscray has an overwhelming amount of amazing food, from Ethiopian to some of the city's best Vietnamese. The CBD runs from basement Thai delivered by robot to Flinders Lane institutions and freezer-door martinis hidden in an old church's caretaker's cottage. The inner north has a Pakistani great, award-winning Armenian-Lebanese and classic wine bars; the inner south has the banh mi debate, South Melbourne Market oysters and Armadale wine lanes; and the inner east brings chaotic northern-Chinese barbecue, boat noodles, ramen and a music-venue pub where Seven Nation Army was written. This is a taste of the whole city.
