Shannon's Madrid

Street food in Madrid is all about tapas, and the city is at its best on a crawl through low-key tabernas, the bocadillo de calamares bars around Plaza Mayor and the historic tavernas serving cocido madrileno and huevos rotos. At the other end sits DiverXO - Dabiz Munoz's three-Michelin-star theatre - which I took my three girls to: fearless, surreal, occasionally baffling, and a meal unlike anywhere else. Come hungry, move often, and don't try to do it all in one sitting.
