“Opened in 1990, Spilia started quietly serving people coming in from the beach, and somewhere along the way it became completely obsessed with itself. I don't write reviews like this often, but this place was rubbish. Do not go under any circumstances unless you have very little respect for your money. We booked well in advance, which was somehow stuffed up three or four times; eventually we had a confirmed booking, arrived at 4pm and were told to line up and wait another 30 minutes while people skipped the queue. It was chaos. Then the menu is more chaos - nothing makes sense, nothing feels local, and paying 60 euro for one prawn is ridiculous. The answer is: I'm an idiot for paying it. The view is great. That's about it. Don't go.”
