The lively colours and patterns, along with the energetic beats and "hot" new music, brought a fresh wave of excitement. Cinemas proudly displayed pianos on their facades, swing bands became incredibly popular, and Bombay's fashionable crowd even adjusted their attire and hairstyles to match the lively dance floors.
